KC Mathieu’s Gas Monkey Frankenstein Pickup

KC Mathieu became famous–at least among gearheads–as the painter for Gas Monkey Garage. Mathieu since has left to go back to his own specialist paint and body shop known as KC’s Paint Shop, but that doesn’t mean he hasn’t got anything cool going on.

Check out the new video he’s just posted on his YouTube channel, appropriately named “KCs Paint Shop.” Right now the channel is pretty sparse, but if he has further offerings like this one coming up, it’s worth keeping an eye on.

Check out “Red Morning” featuring Mathieu’s 1968 Ford F100 called Frankenstein. You may recognize the pickup from an episode of Fast N’ Loud, where the crew built the pickup and Mathieu ended up buying it himself. Besides a great paint job, the old Ford features a Ford Racing 5.0 Aluminator crate engine receiving boost thanks to a Roush supercharger that’s been dropped on top. There’s also a Tremec T56 transmission pushing all that power to a rear end armed with an Eaton Trutrac diff.

It looks like an absolute ball to drive.
